A cold whisper sang away,
Leading all the love astray,
Slithering sneering close to come,
Leaving the warmth no place to run,
A chilly breeze from afar,
Knowing that life’s gone too far.
I came to you a child alone,
Looking for a love to call my own,
Not knowing the world around,
Not even knowing what I found,
An innocence you did see,
The innocence that surrounded me,
A childlike whisper telling tales,
Of how the world never fails,
Make believing all she knew,
Showing her own world to you,
And never asking anymore,
Not knowing what was in store,
Always showing you what’s inside,
My heart from you never did hide.
Never regret and always care,
Even when life’s not fair.
