A day without your face and smile,
Time spent apart for a while,
It’s hard to want time alone,
All I know is your voice on a phone,
I don’t know why it’s this way,
I just wish that you could stay,
But smiles of joy will change to tears,
I’ve got so many different fears,
Left to time we may just part,
You’ll always be close in my heart,
I wonder just how long we’ll last,
But I’d never change the past,
I just want to be in your arms,
Locked in safety, smile and charm.
