The Sky

The Sky

I watched you watch the sky,
And saw how you looked at each cloud,
I wondered if you knew,
That I was watching you.
I sat there cold in the sunset,
Hiding behind a rock,
and watched you look at the sun,
You waved your hand goodbye,
Then Saw an eagle soar,
And watched its glorious flight,
Looking at the mountains,
You watched a blanket thrown,
The sun was laying down for the night,
Turning away from the darkness, light,
looking now towards me,
I took in a sharp breath,
You saw my uneasiness,
Somehow in the dark,
And offered me a smile,
To ease my shaken heart,
You handed your hand to me,
So we walk together hand in hand,
Off towards the sea,
I asked you then if you saw me watching you,
You said you did and we both looked,
From the Cliff, down to the sea,
I turned around and headed back,
I noticed you weren’t with me,
So I looked back, but it was too late,
You had jumped into the dark blue sea,
I never saw you again,
But I feel something is true,
Now, you’re watching me.
